Two-Step Paint Correction
Cut and refine: the maximum finish your paint can give. 85-95% correction.
Service Description
The best finish that can be pulled out of the paint your car has today. Two machine stages, not one: the first cuts the defects out, the second refines the gloss until the reflection is clean. A single stage leaves a very fine haze that shows on black or dark blue paint; this service exists to remove it. EVERYTHING IN THE ONE-STEP CORRECTION, PLUS: ** Cutting stage More aggressive compound and pad, panel by panel, for the scratches a single stage cannot reach. ** Refining stage Finishing polish and a soft pad to remove the haze the first stage leaves behind. This is where the real reflection appears. ** Section-by-section work under inspection light Panel by panel, not in one pass. Every area is checked before moving to the next. ** Edges and ridges worked by hand Where the clear coat is thinnest and a machine would run past. ** Clear coat thickness measured per panel Not once for the whole car. EXPECTED RESULT: 85% to 95% of defects removed. ABOUT THE 5-15% THAT STAYS: that is judgment, not a shortcut. Every polishing pass removes clear coat, and clear coat does not grow back. We would rather leave you one deep scratch than leave a panel with no protection. If we find a defect that cannot be removed safely, we show it to you and explain why, before going any further. This is the step we recommend before the 3-Year or 5-Year Ceramic Coating. If you are going to seal your paint for years, seal the best version of it.
